A clean build plate is a happy build plate and my favorite way to clean my PEO/PEI, etc. build plates is lint free cotton rounds (found in the makeup section of any mega/drug store, don't cheap out - get the “lint free” ones, they are very inexpensive anyway) and a nail polish remover dispenser with the nail polish remover emptied and replaced with Isopropyl Alcohol. Why a nail polish remover dispenser? Because they are designed to hold volatile liquids and to place cotton balls/rounds on them and with a single press dispense a little of that liquid to moisten the cotton. No more trying to dab from bottles - just flip the top, press the pad down on the top of the dispenser and flip the top closed again. You will have a nicely moist pad to clean your build plates. To find them, look at your local Dollar/Pound store or online retailers by searching for "nail polish remover dispenser".

An OpenSCAD file is included so you can adjust the parameters how you like on each cylinder to perfectly fit your cotton rounds and dispenser bottle.

NOTE: Nail polish remover is generally nasty stuff, use it up as directed or simply buy an empty dispenser and fill that container with Isopropyl Alcohol. Do NOT use nail polish remover on your build plates!

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

A pretty serious re-write to turn the shrimp tubes into a two cylinder organizer. Parameters were added so the two tubes can be any specified diameter and height.
