I picked up a CYD after seeing some videos online regarding them, and decided to whip together an enclosure. There are several pre-existing that may be a better fit for your use, so please do check them out, but here's another.

IMPORTANT: This is for a model of CYD that only has the Micro-USB port. Check the provided link above to confirm your model looks similar before printing.

Some general notes,

  • I'm continuing to experiment with not using screws, so that's why, if you're wondering.
  • The pen holder is quite firm. I've printed in PETG and I'm hoping it withstands frequent use but I recognise the ledge is a weak point.
  • The interfacing between top and bottom halves seems good; not difficult to pry apart intentionally but otherwise secure. I can lift the case by the top half while the CYD is installed, and the bottom remains securely attached.

    • The only opening here is for the Micro-USB connection.
