This model is a completely printed drip tray and drip grid for the Rancilio Silvia v5. The model is designed so that a Loadcell can be installed between the support plate and the drip tray. The necessary brew-by-weight conversion has been developed and documented as part of the Clevercoffee project: https://clevercoffee.de
In the CleverCoffee project, two load cells are provided, which are placed on the right and left of the main frame. In my case, this setup had the major disadvantage that both sensors are controlled via a single hx711 board, which leads to inaccurate results and a high susceptibility to errors.
In my setup, the cup is placed on the carrier plate and can therefore be weighed accurately to the gram and without errors. It is not necessary to change the code from the CleverCoffee project. The Loadcell only needs to be calibrated correctly.
Attention:
As the printed parts come into contact with hot water, printing with ABS is strongly recommended. The ABS filament I use (Bambu ABS) has a heat deflection temperature of 87 degrees celsius, which is sufficient for the parts not to deform during normal use. However, avoid exposing the parts directly to steam from the steam lance.
Additionally, a printer that delivers high quality and accuracy is highly recommended. I use a BambuLab P1S. My drip tray is completely waterproof without any post-processing. With other printers, this should be tested in advance.
