In making my Home Assistant dashboard for my brand new Prusa MK4 + enclosure, I knew I would want temperature and humidity from the inside of the enclosure. I have a few of the round Xiaomi Mijia thermometers (popular on AliExpress), so I decided to make a model to replace the thermometer holder of the enclosure.
The model keeps the thermometer at an angle so it's visible when standing up, not just when watching the thermometer at eye level.
This is literally my first Blender model and make (I have never used Blender before) so please forgive the following oversight: the model has no holes for screws or nuts, and truly I don't know how to make them. What I did is I simply drilled two 2.5 mm holes exactly 62.5* mm apart on the surface intended to be attached to the printer, and then “tapped” the holes with the screws from the existing thermometer holder.
Printing with 0.2mm at speed is possible and yields good results. The thermometer fits snugly in the holder. I haven't tried, but I suspect the true cylindrical round ones by Xiaomi should work well too.
* The distance between the center points of the screws used for the thermometer holder that ships with the enclosure, but please confirm and measure.
