Soap Holder

This is a soap holder for the side of the utility sink. 

Design

I designed it in Fusion 360. It is parametric so you can adjust it to your needs.

I designed it in separate parts (dish and hook) to avoid the need for support. However, I added a filet to the triangular attach point. This raises it up off the bed and causes the need of support for the pointy edge. I added an optional (suppressible) support which you use. Alternatively, you could suppress the filet and my support and go with brim only on the pointy edge.

I added a small bump to the dish and recess to the hook so the parts would snap together. There is an option to have a single bump if using a single, centered hook. If you make the dish wide (like I did) you may instead, suppress the center bump and un-suppress the 2 side bumps.

Printing

The hooks need to be printed on their side. You may want to consider brim if the walls are too thin.

The dish is where the magic happens. The drain holes are created by using infill with no bottom and no top layers. But when you do this, the walls will also be infill all the way to the top. So, the solution is to increase the perimeter count to match the desired wall thickness. Also of note, the wall thickness value is used for the bottom, so this will be the height of the bottom drain hole infill.

For consideration: if the dish is large (length and width), and the dish wall thickness is thin, and the density of the infill is low, the strength of the bottom may be less than desirable. I used 0.30 layer height (0.40 nozzle) to add some strength.

Assembly

After post processing, slide the hook(s) onto the attach rail until a slight snap. The clearance should be snug (also changeable in the design).
