Porsche Boxster 986 996 Front Speaker Adapter

Wanted to use a 4" Dayton Audio Full range speaker that i was familiar with. sounds great in the car. can use M4 screws directly into the plastic or use the version with M8 thread adapter version to increase mounting strength.

Update 02/20/2024

Added a new version that lifts the speaker up about 5mm to clear a bolt that is protruding up through the dash support on the right speaker preventing it from mounting flush. The 5mm lift was just enough to clear and have zero contact with the bolt.

also made the bottom flush to eliminate the need for supports. Stock mounting screws from the factory speaker still work.

decreased inner diameter, added holes for speaker mounting, added version with M8 Thread adapters to M4 for a more robust mounting. removed thin walls.
