Allows you to take a small monitor or graphics display tablet e.g. Wacom Cintiq 16 off of a standard monitor arm and put it back without needing a screwdriver or precise alignment of the mounts due to the self-aligning dovetails.
You'll need M4 hardware, usually 4x M4x10 pan head screws for the monitor side, and 4x M4x10 pan head screws + 4x M4 washer + 4x M4 hex nut for the mount side.
Any pair of _f model and _m model will work together. The dovetail geometry is all compatible and will get the centers roughly aligned regardless of size.
Print in provided orientation for maximum strength across the dovetails. A brim is highly suggested due to the small footprint. Monitors can get hot, are heavy and tend to be expensive; use a material with good temperature resistance and low creep.
Note: these are intended to have the large faces and dovetails seat against each other before the full depth of the dovetail is used. This allows the two parts to weakly lock together to remove any slop from the quick release itself - to break them apart, just twist a bit while lifting.
