I am generally not a fan of the classic spinning fidget, but I found this to be particularly satisfying. This is a fun, easy-to-print fidget.
Supplies:
1 - For the steel balls, I get them from Aliexrpess for cheap here: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805861528253.html
2 - for the bearings, you can get them very cheap on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B4JJGG4B
Printing Instructions:
Support - none needed
Infill - It does not matter. I tend to like greater infills on my prints to give it some heft, but the balls give the fidget a nice, hefty feel regardless of infill.
Resolution - I print these on .3mm.
Tip: Apply a drop of WD-40 to the bearing before you put it in. I will give the whole operation a much smoother glide.
The author remixed this model.
1 - I expanded the model to allow for 12mm balls.
2 - I redesigned the original finger grips using a slightly modified version of the one from Aaron Parks's fidget. I did this to solve two issues: (a) the grips needed to be bigger then the hole that the bearing went in, otherwise I found that the bearing would slip out, and (b) I used a different mechanism to allow the two grips to connect to each other - otherwise I found that they slipped apart.
