Replacement mounting bracket for a light tube fixture labelled Lampex KL402-14L, bought from Clas Ohlson around 2012.

Note that the original uses an identical bracket on either end, that is, it's not mirrored. To achieve this, the T-slot tongue feature only extends out to about half of the width of the bracket. Since this is not ideal for the printing orientation I recommend, I also provide a modified design where this feature is extended the entire way. This does require you to use a mirrored version the bracket on the opposite end. Note however that this ends up shifting the screw holes farther apart, so you will need to account for that when mounting the brackets. If you'd like to avoid drilling new holes in your wall, I recommend sticking to the original design.

In short, this upload includes three versions of the bracket (and their mirrored counterparts). I recommend printing them so that L-shaped part lies flat on the print bed, as shown in the follwing image (which is also the default orientation of the model files below).

From left to right, these are the versions shown:

  1. Close to original. Figuring out the best way to support the overhang is left as an exercise to the reader.
  2. Printer friendly version. Extends the T-shape all the way down, and also adds a teardrop modification to the screw hole to prevent it from sagging during printing.
  3. Extra printer friendly version. Adds extra clearance around the parts that slide into the lamp fixture and padds out the edge underneath the screw hole with extra material (it is very thin, and was in fact the cause of the original breaking). This comes at the expense of the bracket sticking ever so slightly farther out from the light fixture.

All of these changes can be toggled independently in the .FCStd file's configuration table (bracket-master > Properties > Variants) if additional combinations are desired.
