This is a remix of a remix (from Elektroarzt) of the cool Thingiverse project (from mordaha) for a nice Flux/Paste dispenser that I optimized even further. The Addition of a bump stop limiting the angle the handle is able to open, combined with a better spring design and a ratcheting mechanism for the piston allows for a hassle free, one handed usage.
Printing
- I'd recommend printing the main part and the handle in .15mm while the small lever and the piston easily can be printed in .3mm
- The small leaver is printed on its side, with supports enabled to allow the space for the spring to be printed.
- Add a nice brim to the piston to keep it securely attached to the print bed.
01/2025: fixed a glitch in the rear of the main body that made printing with supports neccessary

Differences of the remix compared to the original
This is a remix of a remix (from Elektroarzt) of the cool Thingiverse project (from mordaha) that I optimized in the following terms:
- Major changes
- Added a internal 15° bump stop that replace the need for external retention bands. The handle can only open to a position that is still easy and securely to grab.
- Added a integrated piston ratcheting mechanism that prohibits the piston from sliding back and out of the syringe during the opening phase the handle operation, allowing the lever to slide to its next ratcheting position on the piston automatically. Thus the piston is always kept in the perfect position for operation.
- Replaced the coil spring option of the lever with a simple, easy-to-bend torsion spring. This spring can be wound from simple spring steel wire (or an old spring) and is perfectly secured by the lever axle - no more injured eyes or searching the floor for a spring that has jumped out of position! :)
- Minor changes
- Removed the grooves for the now obsolete external retention bands
- Replaced fillets with chamfers for better print quality, even with coarser layer heights.
- Slightly easier to print knurling on the handle.
- Addition of a knurl-free handle.
