Description

PDF

I found this jig made from wood on my trip to Japan twenty years ago in the alleys of an electronics market in Shibuya, Tokyo. I thought why not share with you the little tool that has served me well for years.

Model

133 x 17.5 mm Bending jig for electronic components

Ideal for bending the connecting wires of resistors, diodes, chokes, capacitors, electrolytic capacitors etc. to prepare the components perfectly for soldering into a PCB.

5 grid sizes suitable:

7.5 mm
10.0 mm
12.5 mm
15.0 mm
17.5 mm

Printing

You can use any non-flexible filament as a printing material, such as PLA, PET-G, ABS, etc. In the print files you will find a Prusa Slicer project and the STL file. The model is aligned so that you can print them directly and you don't need any supports. A 0.4 mm nozzle and a layer height of 0.20 mm with printer default settings with 15% infill, etc. are sufficient for printing.

Assembly

There is nothing to assemble.

Usage

Remix

To remix the model or make your own changes, you will find the FreeCad project in the files as always.
