Travel-TicTacToe

This is a version of the well known “TicTacToe” game.

This game is easily transportable and can be played in a car, train or plane while traveling.

The lid has been designed in such way that it is easily taken off to use as a tray to hold the unused or not yet used pieces. The size of the box is the same as the “Portable Hypocycloid Drawing Kit” (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4904876) to make it "stackable".

This version is based on the design from "3dprintbunny"  on Thingiverse. (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4876732). I changed the box design (smaller, and with no “outside” hinges).

Because to play the game you need each 5 pieces. To be able to store all 10 pieces in 9 fields, 2 of them are interlocking.

You can also play the game where each user has only 3 pieces. When all your pieces are on the  board you  continue by moving your pieces to free locations. He or she who is the first to have 3 pieces in a row wins. This version was already played in ancient Rome and was called “Terni Lapilli”.

I printed the parts with 0.2 mm layer in PLA. The smaller parts (clamp and game pieces) with 0.1 mm layer.

The bottom is printed with a color change for the last few layers to make the game field better visible.

It is best to glue the clamp to the lid.

You can use pieces of filament for the hinge. Probably you have to ream the holes with a 1.8 mm drill.

I took the idea of having all the pieces in one box, and also the idea of being able to combine 2 pieces in one hole to be able to store 2x5 pieces. I completely reengineered it to fit my size and type of box.
