I always was annoyed that PLA is permeable to water but then I decided to turn that bug into a feature.

The model comes in 2 parts. The first is a one layer thick PLA inner vessel that contains the soil and plant. Having it this thin will let water seep into the soil over time. I will update the model to have variable thickness depending if the water rate is to fast, or add small holes if it is too slow.

The second part is a ballast that you can superglue to the main vessel. The idea is to have it somewhat water tight and keep the plant from sinking. Again there may be multiple models of this and or may require PETG for water tightness. Infill should be small to keep it as a good ballast.
