I got tired of my skis sliding down the wall - falling from leaning against the wall and scratching the paint on the way down. It makes a terrible noise and can't be good for your gear.

I also wanted a way to store the skis with the poles, because I believe that things that are used together ought to be stored together.

This design incorporates a few features that keep the skis and poles on the wall: the ski rack is sloped toward the wall and a small hook is provided on the end of the ski rack to prevent the ski from slipping off the end of the hook. The poles store on a dedicated shelf with half-circle cutouts underneath the skis. The cutouts are spaced ~ 1 inch apart, so the poles should be able to be stored while clipped into the pole clips they usually ship with. Two through-holes are integrated for screwing the brackets into the wall. I used standard #8 decking screws about 2.5 inches long to screw directly into the studs on my wall. It's possible that this could work with wall mounting methods that don't involve screws (as in, command strips).

I made the ski rack wide enough that it should be able to store regular downhill skis; however, I do not own any downhill skis, so I did not test this.

I didn't go crazy with the design or with print settings. I stuck with plain old PLA. To speed things up I went with .3 layer height. 20% infill was more than adequate, standard (2) perimeters. No supports if you print from one of the side faces.
