Printing Tips:

• Can be printed in any material, including PLA, using as little as 5% infill.
• Recommended to print at .15mm layer height (if you've got the time), gyroid infill, and “monotonic lines” top fill.
• The “male” connectors (on straight pieces and joiners) benefit from using supports, which can be cut back in increments to ensure a tighter fit within the “female” connection points.

Assembly Tips:

• Tested with both copper-coated .177 caliber (4.5mm) and 6mm biodegradable plastic BBs. You can use anything small and round that's smaller than 7mm, including making your own by rolling some oven bake clay between your fingers and giving it a light bake.
• While fairways aren't required, a smooth ball may roll too easily on printed filament, even on a perfectly level surface. Other options to cutting fairways could be roughening the top play surface or adding a textured medium/spray.
• Fairways have been designed for model grass mats (example), textured EVA foam (example), or a stiff thin felt, which can be cut using a Cricut or similar cutter. They can also be stenciled and hand-cut. Recommend this material be less than 1mm thick.
• Affix your chosen fairway material with rubber cement or similar adhesive.
