Description

I designed this enclosure to print higher temperature materials on my Muldex 3D printer.

Details about the printer: https://github.com/3dprintingworld/MULDEX

I printed the parts in PETG.

The original part cooling fan modules will collide with the doors, but we can use these ones instead: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/57909-slim-fan-modules-for-muldex-3d-printer

Other Needed material:

  • 5mm clear panels ; dimensions in the step files
  • 4x M3x40mm screws as hinge pins
  • 16x M5x10mm FHC screws (hinge-frame)
  • 16x M5x14mm FHC screws (hinge-door)
  • 23x M5 T-nuts
  • 4x M5x8mm BHC screws (stepper covers)
  • 1x M5x10mm CHC screw (stepper cover center)
  • 2x M5x10mm CHC screw (bottom panels)
  • 16x M5 collar nuts (hinge-door)
  • 16x M5x12mm BHC screws (panels-corners)
  • 16x M5 hex nuts (panels-corners)

Edit 18/12/2021:

I added thermostatic elements that can lift the top cover of the enclosure whenever it gets too hot inside. The 2 rear corner parts should be replaced by the dedicated ones, and I used these thermostatic elements: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000708543393.html

I also updated the other corner parts with different nut pocket orientation for easier assembly.
