This tool allows you to easily disassemble and reassemble the bolt of a CZ 452 or 455 rimfire rifle.  A major improvement over other designs is simplified reassembly.  No more fighting parts under spring tension to get the bolt back together, this tool contains the plunger as you compress the spring for reassembly.

To use for disassembly:

  1. Remove bolt from gun (open action, pull trigger, pull bolt out).
  2. Twist bolt handle to remove tension from striker spring.
  3. Set tool on table, slide tool all the way down (collapsed).
  4. Press back of bolt on tool, centering the bolt in the recess on the tool.  Depress spring all the way it'll go.
  5. Pull safety lever out.
  6. Relieve tension carefully, the bolt internals should fall apart at this point.

To use for reassembly:

  1. Reassemble bolt internals (insert striker, spring, and plunger, then place handle on bolt), don't compress any springs at this point.  Make sure plunger is oriented correctly (slot lines up with safety hole).
  2. Extend tool and place it over the back of the bolt assembly (plunger will fit into the ole in the middle).
  3. Place the back of the tool on a solid surface and press the whole bolt assembly down.
  4. Insert safety lever.
  5. Twist bolt handle to cock the striker.
  6. Reinstall in the gun (pull trigger, slide bolt in, close bolt).

Printing tips:

  • No supports needed!
  • Additional perimeters and increased infill highly recommended.  I used 4 perimeters and 70% cubic infill, you could probably get away with 3 and 50% or less.
