I made a dirty Santa for a dirty Santa Christmas party. Needs to be printed with supports, preferably organic.
This includes internal planetary gears for rotation, because why not. there is a small shaft that pokes out underneath the base that can be used to turn it, or you can turn it from the top.
the pole itself is wobbly due to it being thin, but mine hasn't broken yet. so be warned…
i included two versions of the Santa and pole part.
One version is where you print the top base, pole, and Santa all connected at once for less assembly. NOTE: if you decide to print this version, I highly recommend printing it upside down for reliability.
another version is where you print the base and pole connected at once, then you attach santa on the pole by sliding him down onto the pole through the holes and have him “sit” on the stud. I personally have not printed this version, so I cannot confirm 100% that it will go smooth or mount correctly. but it should in theory, and the measurement and tolerances LOOK ok in blender.
only one clip is needed to attach the whole gear assembly together. once it is all assembled like in the picture, the clip goes underneath where the shaft sticks out. This clip is a very tight fit, so some extra force or pliers may be needed.
