Rocket with Boosters (2 Sizes)

These are fun rockets with boosters that extend on take-off. I designed two sizes and each contain two parts: the main rocket body and the ‘boosters’.

I've included the following STL models:

3D PRINTING SETTINGS:                                                                                                               Layer Height 0.2mm                                                                                                                           PLA works great                                                                                                                                   15-20% Infill

*Supports are needed for the larger rocket at the base around the outside rings of the boosters.  (Make sure not to include supports inside the booster chambers because you need to keep those clear to drop the boosters in when you pause the print:)

There are two ways you can print these rockets:

1. Print the complete rocket 
2. For different color rocket and boosters, print the boosters first, print the rocket second pausing at layer height 15.6mm for the large rocket and 30.6mm for the small rocket, drop the boosters in and then continue printing.
