I drew and printed this lamp housing very specifically to replace a broken outdoor light I had on my garden Pub Shed. The original was a glass tear drop type which smashed and I decided I wanted an old fashioned coach light look. I also came up with the idea of embossing my garden pubs name in reverse on the ‘glass’ so that it became visible when switched on. I have included plain ‘glass’ file as well. Perhaps others have the same or similar light that this will fit or it can be remixed for other fittings.

I printed the base in one piece without supports. It has a large opening at the bottom to allow most of the light to shine down.

The top needs some support for the centre.

The ‘glass’ has to be printed 4 times and I did it from white filament and comes with both embossed and plain files. I did not want any light shining out the back so in my case the ‘glass’ at the back was printed with black filament but I did a colour change after the initial layers to white filament to act as a reflector on the inside.

All the pieces were superglued together, first the ‘glass’ was glued into the frames then the top was glued on. It needed a little post processing was required to ensue good fits before everything was assembled.
