My camera’s remote receiver normally mounts on the hotshoe of the camera, which is fine and good unless you also want to mount a flash or flash transmitter. When I’m doing product photography, I usually have the camera tripod mounted and need both the remote receiver and flash transmitter. Taping the receiver to the tripod was “ugly” to say the least.
This gizmo simply clips securely to the tripod leg, and you slip the receiver (or whatever) into the coldshoe. I included a slot for a cable-tie in case it needs to be more permanent, of if it starts getting loose over time.
The attached STL assumes your tripod leg is 30mm in diameter. I’ve also attached the Fusion 360 file so you can make the diameter whatever suits your tripod. There’s a User Parameter to set the diameter of the leg. I’d suggest going 1mm smaller than the actual diameter to ensure of a tight fit.
