This is an update to the original model. The first model had issues with flexing and bending. It also didn't clear the top and bottom flange of the Z-Axis. This model has added support to prevent flexing and has been trimmed to avoid striking the Z-Axis to give greater range of adjustment without having to move the laser mount panel. Also added a holder that will hold the assembled mount and laser. I use a 2020 frame for my enclosure, so the mount holes for the screws are sized to allow captive nuts in a 2020 extruded frame.
A simple adapter to allow mounting a 42mm 10W Sainsmart laser in a 52mm spindle mount.
The spindle adapter can be inserted from the bottom of the spindle mount with the laser mount flipped. The laser can also be mounted in either direction on the plate. This will allow for any clearance issues such as mounting high enough to clear using a rotary.
You may want to open up the 4mm screw counterbore to allow use of the provided screws. Otherwise you will need longer laser mount screws. The adapter to laser backing plate is sized for #6 machine screws.
