Inspired by Naoto Fukasawa's original design from 2005, this is a playful take on a pencil holder. There are 12 holes for pencils, and works very well as an art object if you use the same pencils or pens.

As far as I can tell, the original is no longer in production. While a 3D printed version won't be quite as nice or have the charm of the original, a reproduction you can make yourself is a reasonable alternative.

Designed to use a minimal amount of plastic, please print the design upside-down. NO NEED FOR SUPPORTS. The holes are deep enough that any modern printer can handle the bridging needed at the bottom of the holes.

There is currently one version with 9mm holes.

Please comment if you want other pen sizes; I'm happy to make them.
