Cute mailbox for an upcoming LORA & MQTT project. Adorable design from Adafruit! Using a magnetic cable for easy attachment through the back of the mailbox. Redesigned the flag so super-gluing the servo arm is no longer necessary. Used a butane torch on the flag collet for a second and press fit it onto the end of the metal servo gear. I specifically chose a servo with a metal gear for this reason. ;) -----------------------------------
After a couple days the flag fell off. Heating up the part to press fit onto the servo doesn't really hold up over time. Instead drilled a hole through it and installed an M2.5 screw with washer to thread directly into the metal threaded servo motor gear end. That works great. (edited)
