Scalpel handle

A handle to put arround the Swann Morton number 3 scalpel handle to increase grip and reduce fatigue. Realy handy if you use this scalpel for diy project and cut cardboard or other materials for hours.

How I Designed This

Fusion 360, meshroom, clay

I modeld a rough comfortable shape in clay around the existing scalpel, which I scanned with the help of meshroom and my iphone. I imported the scanned mesh in fusion 360 where I used it as guide to model a perfect and smooth T-spline body. I converted it to a Brep body to substract a scalpel model I found online to get a perfect fit. And finaly sliced the part in two. Fusion converted it to a high resolution mesh (with crisp edges enabled).
