Description

PDF

Designed to fit these collets. The square hole at the bottom serves as both a way to hang the handle and as access for a screwdriver or other tool to help pop out stuck collets.

Printed in PETG at 0.25mm layer height and 3 perimeters. Mostly 15% infill, but I added a modifier along the section of the handle where the collet sits to be 100% infill for added torque strength. No supports needed.

The included .3mf file is for the MK3.9.

The included .scad file needs the original handle.stl

Update Dec. 15, 2024: By request, I have also added the collets that are shown in the pictures. I generated these using the OpenSCAD file created by b3n3d1k7. The sizes are in the file names and are summarized here:

  • 1/4" hexagon
  • 1/8" hexagon
  • 1/4" square
  • 1/8" square
  • 6, 5, 4, and 3 mm square

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

For the handle: I added flat sides to the interior of the handle to firmly hold the flattened collets. I also replaced the ‘collet ejector’ with a simple rectangular hole that any suitable tool (screwdriver, pen, whatever) can be used to pop out stuck collets. The screw-on cap is unchanged from the original.

The included collets are generated from b3n3d1k7's original OpenSCAD file are represent sizes and shapes not made available in the original.
