French cleat holder.

INTRO

For a long time now, I have had a place where the old ceramic towel holder broke, so I came up with the idea of making a new one.

But I really like the idea of it being modular and easy to change, so I used the method carpenters use to easily assemble things like cabinets.

DESCRIPTION

A French cleat is (source wikipedia) a way of securing a cabinet, mirror, artwork or other object to a wall. It is a molding with a ~45 degree slope used to hang cabinets or other objects.
French cleats can be used in pairs, or with a cleat mounted to the wall and a matching edge cut into the object to be hung.

I'm a bit short on time and filament, so I managed to make a one universal holding tingy for a mobile phone/tablet and a towel, but there was no limit because not only can a holder be made for smaller things, by mounting a longer bracket, larger things can also be easily changed, such as shelves.
So I've added a couple of printable designs, the possibilities are endless and easy to change.

It is easy to make a base on which it is hung, it can be made thicker for heavier things or thinner like this, which is more subtle. And the design is easily made (to suit me) and you can easily modify it yourself.

CONCLUSION

It is easily printed with PLA (default settings) by turning the model on its side, and usually no supports are needed unless it is a more complex design.

For now I am satisfied with the performance, I only have to change the screws that hold the base. It's the weekend and I don't know where to buy stainless steel screws.
I made the modular parts to be longer than the base, so I'll see how it turns out (when i use it in future), I made them so that they are a little bulkier and easier to remove from the base.

In addition, I need to buy a transparent shower curtain so that I can watch TV shows on the tablet while I shower :)
