Dangly wires and bathroom clutter are a thing of the past with the Modular Outlet Shelf!

Instructions

  1. Remove the screws from your existing outlet cover, leave the cover in place!
  2. Place the 3d printed outlet cover OVER your existing one and screw it in
  3. Insert your electronic toothbrush charger into the shelf and feed its charger through the hole.
  4. Wrap up the excess wire and plug the charger into the outlet
  5. Slide the shelf from the top of the outlet cover down into the mounting brackets. You may need to apply a little force to get it down all the way!
  6. You can now add any optional attachments you like. Each attachment has 2.5mm holes for set screws if they need extra support.

The shelf itself does not require supports on a well-dialed in printer. Make sure the bridges are going the short way across the bottom mounting slots.

The outlet cover requires supports and I recommend using the automatic painting option in prusa slicer. If you just use “support everywhere”, it may be very annoying to remove them.

Notes

I've tested the mounting mechanism with .4 and .6 nozzles at .2 layer height. These seem to work the best.

I am working on proving the print with .6 nozzles @ .3 layer height for faster prints. It the grooves are wee bit too tight with these settings so you may want to use the hole expansion setting if you go this route.

Hand towel holder

For the hand towel holder, insert a ¼" steel/alluminum rod. I recommend using super glue to make sure it really sticks in there. You can use one or both of the rod holders, I found as long as the length isn't too crazy you only need one.

Obviously this can't hold a full size towel, little hand towels only :)
