Stargate Rings Puzzle - Blocked!
I designed a Stargate Ring Platform for use in a game I am working on. After scaling the platform up, I realized this would make an interesting puzzle. This is the result of that effort.
Puzzle concists of the ring (holding frame) and the pieces (26 in all). Nice for sitting on the coffee table while watching Stargate!
This is an easy print (with the exception of a few filament changes for added color). The ring is printed separately from the pieces (I printed the ring first).
The Ring: This is a BIG print - it does not use all that much filament, but the result is rather large. I printed mine with Inland Black PLA+, Inland Gray PLA+, Inland Copper PLA+, and Inland Bone PLA+. No supports are needed. This is an easy print!
First Color: Black
Color Change: Gray
Color Change: Copper
Color Change: Black
Color Change: Bone
The Parts: The puzzle pieces are printed all at once, in two colors. I printed mine with Inland Black PLA+ and Inland Gold PLA+. No supports are needed. Another easy print!
First Color: Black
Color Change: Gold
I have included screen shots of the time and color changes for the provided print files. Coming soon will be a different set of puzzle pieces for the existing frame, and I am going to be adding a Basic Frame that will fit all of the pieces as well (if you do not want to print the Stargate Ring).
This was designed with AutoCAD for 90% of the design, the conversion to 3D was done using Fusion 360.
