Kitfox Rudder Gust Lock and Parking Brake

This is a model I designed to solve a simple issue in my plane, that there is no good way to lock the rudder in place for when the aircraft is parked. I wanted it to be compact, live on the inside of the airplane, and also function as a parking brake.

I designed this to be printed without supports, I would recommend printing this with a strong filament and with at least 6 wall loops (I printed the center and Y piece in 100% infill). To assemble you will need 4ea M6x16 socket head screws and 6ea  M4x16 socket head screws.

When adjusting the butt section start shorter and adjust until the unit pushes on the rudder pedals just hard enough to lock the brakes.
