The Masterton Fab Lab laser cutter had a 10mm diameter guide laser on it, and it got smashed. In New Zealand for stupid reasons importing lasers is hard. But one way we can get them is as kit parts, and Keyes sell an Arduino-compatible laser module - but it is 6mm diameter and fragile. This bracket allows the Keyes module to fit in the 10mm mounting bracket on the laser cutter head, and adds some protection against future damage.
While we could have added fancy clips or tracks, we found the construction of the modules to be inconsistent and settled on aligning manually, anchoring the module with hot glue when correctly located.
