This mounts a Focus Scarlett 2i2 audio interface (3rd generation) under a desk or table.  It includes a large hook for headphones below.  There is a smaller hook in back for extra loops of headphone cable.

I modeled this in Fusion360.  Along with the .STL files, I've included .STEP files and .f3d files so you can modify the model in Fusion 360 or another CAD program.

Parts Needed

  • 4 #8 wood screws of appropriate length
  • 1 M5x45 socket head machine screw, [McMaster 91290A197](https://www.mcmaster.com/91290A197/) or equivalent
  • 1 M5 nylon locknut, [McMaster 94645A102](https://www.mcmaster.com/94645A102/) or equivalent

Tools Needed

  • Drill with approximately 5/64" or 2mm bit
  • Screwdriver that fits your wood screws
  • Hex key wrench that fits your M5 screw (probably 4mm)

Printing

Print with default settings.  PLA or PETG is fine.  Any layer height is fine.  Print the bracket face down, and print the headphone hook with the right side down.  I chose to use a textured build plate to give the front surface a pebbly look.

Assembly

  1. Press the M5 nut all the way into the hole in the back of the bracket.  (Use the screw to pull it in if necessary.)
  2. Use the bracket to mark the locations of the screw holes in the desk and predrill them.
  3. Screw the bracket in.  Ensure the screw heads are recessed into the plastic, otherwise they will scratch the Scarlett.
  4. Insert the Scarlett all the way.
  5. Press the headphone hook in from the back.  Ensure it's fully seated.
  6. Affix the M5x45 screw from below.

Have fun.

Model origin

The author remixed this model.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

This is a new design inspired by jangrewe's model.  I copied the basic look and location of the desk screws, then added the headphone hook and used it to retain the Scarlett in the bracket.
