I wanted to substitute the barrel jack on my DPS power supply with USB-C PD but didn't want to redesign the whole case, so I made this adaptor that fits in a 12mm opening like a lot of panel mount switches.

For the PDC004-PD trigger board I found this nice 3D model on GrabCAD to model the adaptor board around. With the boards being approximately 10.7mm wide, 12mm was about the smallest diameter it would fit in and also required quite small threads (M12x0.75). To print the threads properly also meant using a small layer height of .1mm. It's a little tricky, but after wearing the threads in a little bit, they work quite smoothly.

It was only after I finished and tested my design and started writing this post, that I found some similar projects by @chrisax212 and @BDizzle. Unfortunately, those were a bit too big for what I needed, so I thought it was worth sharing mine anyways.

Update 2025-01-26

Added .bgcode file for MK4S with HF0.4 nozzle. Printing the parts sequentially improved quality/removed lots of blobs that I got when printing in all parts in parallel. An issue I didn't have on the MK3S 0.1mm profile.

Update 2025-04-13

Added 14mm hex tool to help installation. Print 2 pieces and use one to hold the main body in place from what's going to be the outside, while using the second one to tighten the nut. The tool be held in a ¼" square driver.
