I designed and printed this stand for my Focal SHape 40 monitors. The aim was firstly to raise them slightly and then to have an angle to direct the sound correctly to me (the angle here is 20°).
The idea was also to be able to use the supplied screws/legs to fix the stand (by removing the locknut).
I tried to design the stand to look like a pin-leg, and this means here that the upper layers of the pieces will be “stepped”. Fortunately, adaptive layer printing is available and will minimize this problem. Also, this surface is hidden and won't show.
The speakers are stable. Of course, if you lean the speaker forward, it will tend to tip, but we're not talking about a swing here…
