I have numerous SKADIS print boards in my print room. I used to hang up rolls using hooks flat against board but that was inefficient. Now I can hold 3 in the place of around 1.
There are three versions of this print. Depending on your printer you may not be able to print the 3 roll since the height may be too high for your printer. So there is the 2 and 1 roll variation.
3 Roll Variation: 246mm print height
2 Roll Variation: 206mm print height
1 Roll Variation: 126mm print height
NEW: End piece that allows for additional support if desired.
UPDATE: Removed the bevel at the end of the post so it fits more snug in the adjoining holder.
UPDATE: New variation that allows for installing over the wall screw.
If you are able to print the 3 roll variation on your printer, you can fit 3 of them and the end holder to fill the entire board. This will hold 10 x 1KG rolls of filament.
There is a second variation of each size that has a notch where it meets the peg board. This is used to allow you too put the holder over the screw cover that holds the peg board to the wall.
Print this with the hooks down with the cylinders up. If you put two side by side on the peg board the cylinders will rest in the holder next to it providing more support. This works for all variations.
I print using 10% Support Cubic Infill at 2.5mm.
I am able to print 3 x 3 roll variation with and end piece for under 500g. This allows me to print two “sets” with one roll of filament.
I wouldn’t use this particular holder for dispensing filament to your printer, I may make another variation that will allow for a rod to be inserted for easy rotation.
