This rolling spool holder for the Honeycomb Storage Wall is based on (and compatible with) the Ender 3 S1 Pro spool holder.
Alternatively you can use your original Ender 3 S1 Pro spool holder. In that case you only have to print the HSW insert cap.
I have successfully printed the model in PLA using a 0.4 nozzle and 0.2mm layer height with the following changes to the standard profile:
HSW insert cap: Designed to be printed without any supports. If you have issues with bed adhesion, use a brim. Use the recommended settings for HSW inserts (i.e. perimeters/walls: 4, infill: 20%).
Tube: Use random seam position to avoid getting a small bump every rotation. Additionally turn on scarf joint seams if you are using OrcaSlicer. If you have difficulties with bed adhesion, use a brim.
Cap: Standard settings work fine.
Outer shaft: If you have difficulties with bed adhesion, use a brim.
Inner shaft: This is a thin load bearing part, so make sure to use 6 perimeters/walls and 6 top/bottom layers (= 1.2 mm thickness). Use a high-strength material if possible.
⚠ Caution: Using these recommendations this part should hold a 1kg spool with ease. Please note that PLA creeps under load and I have not done any tests to see if it holds up long-term.
The author remixed this model.
Combines the standard HSW insert with the cap of the spool holder.
