Thanks for checking out the initial release! The model is usable at this point, but there's some improvements that could be made. I've noted them below. Assembly is close to the same as a standard Mini 13 kit, some pieces like the ears and eyes are just press fit into place. If the parts come out on the looser side and you don't want to glue it, a tiny bit of blue tac works well to add a bit of grip.
First you'll need a frame from the original Mini 13
Although this isn't as nice of a model as the original Mini 13, you'll want to use those settings as a starting point:
These are the settings I use for best results (at 100% scale and with a 0.4mm nozzle)
- Layer height 0.15mm (first layer 0.2mm)
- 3 perimeters
- 30% rectilinear infill
- Slow down the first layer print speed (30% of default)
- 0.25mm elephant foot compensation
- Print external perimeters first
- No brim or support material
However, some parts from this kit, like the leg armor, might need a brim. Several parts will require support material. The ears, top straps, and elbow knives are FRAGILE so be careful when you remove them from the bed and post process them. I've supplied some of the 3mf files I used to print out the prototype. That should get you most of the way there.
Here's a list of things that could be better for myself or someone else who feels ambitious.
This project wouldn't be possible without soozafone's excellent Mini 13 Project. Please give them some love if you enjoyed this remix.
Huntress is a character from Hopoo Games' excellent Risk of Rain series. Some meshes from the game have been adapted for Mini 13.
The author remixed this model.
This is an alternative set of armor to look like Huntress from Risk of Rain
