The rigid hose for the Kirby vacuum is just the a narrow end of the hose slipped inside another fitting. This makes it really easy to change tools but over time the rigid portion of the hose develops cracks and no longer holds the sections together without using something to make the narrow end bigger. Of course this only serves to enlarge the crack over time and eventually the end breaks requiring replacement.

This model is a simple cylinder that can be slipped over the end of the rigid hose to provide reinforcement for existing cracks and delay or prevent cracks in undamaged rigid sections.

I printed this in PETG using a Prusa MK3.9. It's a snug fit and is pretty secure but a very small amount of glue when the reinforcement is slipped on will make it even more so.
