I tried to find a nice case that would nicely (and safely) hold a hobby knife, because the original cap just seemed a bit flimsy. Couldn't find one, so I made my own! Also as a bonus, the case holds a spare blade box.

The knife is about 13mm on the widest part and 155mm long with the blade.

This print needs just two round magnets (6mm x 6mm) and two pieces of filament as hingepins. The tolerances should be ok (mine were but YMMV) that you don't need to glue the magnets in place.

Print the lid hinges facing the print bed.

Filament I used was Fillamentum Traffic Black PLA.

After printing:

If the hingepin holes are too small, you can use a small drill, or a small (1,5mm) allenkey to “ream” out the holes a tiny bit. The pieces of filament dont have to go all the way through the holes on the lid. Just enough that they act as hinges.

Feedback is very welcome!

Print settings:

0,2mm layers

I used 3 perimiters

15% grid infill

No supports

I painted the seam on the left back corner.
