Use this simple tool to accurately mark each LM8UU or LM10LUU bearing in your next build with a permanent marker for precise alignment every time.

Prep

Clean off the oil film on the outside of the bearings before marking with a permanent marker. (Use a dampened cloth with Acetone for best results. Do not soak the bearings in Acetone, it will damage the bearing seals.)

How to Use

While looking through the end of the bearing, slide the bearing into the bearing marker, lining up the ball bearing raceways to the bearing marker indicator arrows. Once aligned, draw a single line along the full length of the groove with a permanent marker. That’s it!

Note; If you find that the bearing will not fit into the part you printed on your printer, you can cut the “bridge” at the base of the marker groove to allow it to open up slightly.

When you are done using this tool, you can store the LM8UU marker inside the LM10LUU marker. (See photos.)
