Wanted to combine two different spool holders which I really liked. The Voron base is nice, simple and riggid while the Voron spool holder by EDnation is just the most friction-less spool holder I've ever came across - perfect idea with the bearings as well as very nice design there.
For printing, the base is already correctly oriented and the spool holder roller base can be printed both standing as well as laying on its bottom side which is what I'd recommed.
Parameters are up to you, I did it using 3 perimeters, 5 bottom and top layers and 30% infil. Used PETG and ABS+ filaments and I also printed the roller wheels as a temporary replacement for bearings :-) PLA would also work since this is a part that belongs on the outside of a printer.
This spool holder uses 3 heat set threaded inserts - two in the stand and one in the roller base.
The author remixed this model.
I modified the Voron Spool holder by EDnation to fit the original Voron Switchwire spool holder base which I also had to modify, so that these two components could be attached together using screws and heat-set inserts and so that they nicely match on the design side too. I think the result is not that bad :-)
