Continuing with my previous laptop stand that folds “mostly flat", I wanted to refine it further and make one that stows “completely flat”. No protruding features to catch on anything.
Features:
More compact, foldable, adjustable, robust, stable, and portable - fits in your backpack.
The “hooks” fold out to hold a laptop, then folds down and lock when being stowed.
The leg has 5 positions: 4 standing on the base for taller “rise” of your laptop screen, and 1 position standing off the base for a lower rise.
Designed to be robust yet compact.
Has a stable base so you don't risk your laptop falling off.
The base “snaps closed” against the platform to stay securely stowed.
Accommodates laptops that are up to 16mm thick (when open) as shown below.
Soon: I plan to introduce variants that can handle 19mm and 22mm thick dimensions as well.
Printing Recommendations:
Make sure your print bed is clean.
Use the files with “helpers” in the corners to help keep the part stuck to the bed and add 3-4mm brim if you have issues with bed adhesion historically with your printer.
Use 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layers.
Please make sure your extrusion multiplier is correct (does not over-extrude) - otherwise it may cause welding of the joints.
Platform - use 3 perimeters.
Leg - use 2 perimeters min.
Base - use 2-3 perimeters.
*** CAUTION: IMPORTANT NOTES ***
The Hook features are print in place (PIP) along with the platform. They are likely to have some minor welding to the platform part (0.2mm clearance at the rotating joint).
DO NOT free them by just rotating them with your hand - the hooks may break.
Use a small adjustable wrench to rotate them with repeated small back-and-forth rotations until they free up.
Please be patient. DO NOT use excessive force.
Material:
PLA is OK for this model but only recommended for office or indoor use/storage.
If there is a chance you'll carry or store it in a backpack (possibly stuck in a hot car) you might want to consider using PETG/ABS.
Other Things you'll need:
4x M3x16 or M3x18 SHCS (socket head cap screws).

Remember, you can earn some Prusameters if you post a pic of your make! Plus, it would make my day to see it. ;-D
