🇮🇩 Selamat Datang di Jakarta
Welcome to Jakarta!

This publication contains two different versions:

  • A model created in Tinkercad by an 8th grade student codenamed “Silhouette”. They gave permission to be published in MiniWorld3D's catalog to share this model with the world.
  • A model by Ivan Khrishadi

The National Monument (Indonesian: Monumen Nasional, abbreviated Monas) is a 132 m (433 ft) obelisk in the centre of Merdeka Square, Central Jakarta, symbolizing the fight for Indonesia. It is the national monument of the Republic of Indonesia, built to commemorate the struggle for Indonesian independence.

Construction began in 1961 under the direction of President Sukarno. Monas was opened to the public in 1975. It is topped by a flame covered with gold foil (from Wikipedia).

MiniWorld3D is happy to bring this model to life as a homage to the people of Indonesia. This model was designed from scratch, no scans or repurposed models, so it's clean for 3D printing. Please give credit, it's all about spreading culture and education!

Printing Tips

Suggested parameters:

For better details, print slow, such as 15 or 20mm/s for outer perimeters.
Fine-tune retraction to avoid stringing.
Perimeters: 2
Top layers: 3
Infill: as low as 12%, lightning pattern ok

The thin pillar may need to be slowed down even further, especially if using input shaper.

Ivan's version is recommended to be printed in resin or larger scales.
