I'm excited to present to you a novel mounting solution for your VR headsets, taking a slightly different approach. Instead of using clips, I've designed a clamp as the mount and incorporated a few M3 screws and nuts for added stability, blending durability with functionality.
This design ensures near-universal compatibility, providing perfect ear coverage for virtually any head size. The mount features adjustable length and angle, giving you the freedom to customize the fit to your preference.
Now, if you're skeptical about its holding capability, I've been there too. But to dispel any doubts, I've included a zip file under "Other Files" with a video demonstration. You'll see me turning the Quest upside down and giving it a good shake. Even during vigorous games like Beat Saber or Asgard's Wrath 2, the clamp keeps the speakers firmly in place. To my own surprise, it even attaches securely to the original Meta headband.
Additionally, I specifically designed this mount for ease of detachment, which makes it convenient for storing your Quest 3 in a hard-shell case, as such attachments typically need to be removed for it to fit properly.
Give it a try and see for yourself how this mount enhances your VR experience!

I've printed this with my modded Ender 3 Pro which tends to overextrude slightly, so it should print well even on printers that haven't been finely calibrated.
For assembly, you’ll need two M3 nuts and M3 screws of at least 8mm and 18mm in length per side, though slightly longer screws can be used if necessary. The shorter M3 screw should be securely glued into the 'wheel' component for easy manual adjustment.
I welcome any suggestions for improvement and modifications. I believe the clamp could be further enhanced with a fine, thin rubber insert that could be glued on for better grip. I look forward to your ideas and feedback.
PS: the headstrap shown in the images is from Zybervr.
