I recently bought a HP Proliant Microserver Gen 8 which had already had the slim DVD drive replaced with a 2.5in drive caddy. It was hot glued into the chassis which made quick removal difficult.
I designed this bracket to attach using the M2 screw holes on the rear of the caddy and use the OEM spring clip to hold it into place.
On my particular caddy, the hole centers were 32mm apart. I slotted the holes to allow some movement in the bracket to line it up with the metal clip nicely.
I used M2x4 cap head screws to attach. If your drive has some up/down movement when fully seated against the metal clip (seen to right of bracket in photo), you can bend the metal clip down slightly.
I printed this in PLA with a 0.6mm nozzle and 0.15 layer height.
