Swiss Wall Socket made safe for toddlers

Unfortunately many flats in Switzerland still have the old style of wall outlets (shown in picture). These are very dangerous, especially for small children. The problem is that plugs can be partially pulled, exposing still-live contacts. Children can easily reach behind the plug and shock themselves, which is probably the reason why these sockets were banned in new construction quite a while ago. Also, you cannot use safety plugs on them. This is my way of addressing the issue without any changes to the original installation. It enables the application of regular safety plugs (I am using IKEA PATRULL).

Make sure the mod is properly attached and throw the breaker before applying it. This is by no means an official solution, and strictly private use only. Children still need to be supervised.

Print:

Don't use colors - children will be attracted to the cover if you do. Print from a suitable material like ASA, ABS or PETG. Slice with at least two perimeters and 4 top/bottom layers, as well as 15% or more infill. Print face down.

Installation:

Throw the breaker. Remove the original panel and M3x20 countersunk screw. Place the printed part over the original panel in the same orientation and reattach. You can use the original screw, but not much thread will be left (a turn or so). I advise replacing it with a M3x25 countersunk or cylinder head. If you do so, you can store the original screw using the slot inside the printed part. Tighten carefully until the panel cannot be moved.

Parts selection:

I rendered all possible combinations of sockets, in case you want to lock down unused ones entirely. Also the whole outlet can be blocked. There are variants with and without the switch symbol if you have switched outlets. Not all variants are shown, only the ones I am using myself.
