I REALLY hate the stock micron door hinges, they just never worked for me. Broke a few and the ones that didnt, just never held the door on. The door would always end up sagging from the small area provided for VHB to adhere the hinge to the door.
I had a bunch of chicago bolts (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B089YSR8W1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) laying around from putting together my Z end-stops and had the idea to used them for the hinges. I also used some 30mm M5 spacers as a bushing inside the panel mount part of the hinge. I had them laying around from an ender 3 but these should work just fine (https://www.amazon.com/Lyn-Tron-Stainless-Metric-millimeters-Length/dp/B009YME6B4/ref=sr_1_9?crid=MFO3RK6JDU9Q&keywords=m5%2Bbolt%2Bspacer&qid=1704259543&s=industrial&sprefix=m5%2Bbolt%2Bspacer%2Cindustrial%2C62&sr=1-9&th=1)
Support is needed for printing the hinge. I eventually plan to try and redesign these so they dont need support (one day…..). Until then, this is what I have available.
They have worked out sooo much better than stock hinges.
