Modular AIR filter

Modular air filter designed to filter VOCs and particles.

Main parts:

• base
• HEPA filter
• Carbon/Scorch filter
• top cover

BOM: for default configuration - base and 4 filter modules

• M3x10mm bolts: 31 + 4(optional for base)
• M3x5mm inserts: 31 + 4(optional for base)
• fan: 12032B, I used GDSTIME fan from here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002259969413.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.5.957c180214uHjQ
• JST-XH-2.5 2P connector: 1
• magnets 6x3mm: 18 + 4(optional for base)

Base can be connected to frame with 4X M3 screws or with 4X 6x3mm magnets. → distance between magnets/bolts in attached picture.

I have no affiliate connection to any of the stores mentioned above, this is were I sourced my parts.

Print settings & instructions:

First print the magnet_diameter_check.3mf file, has 4 slots for magnets: number 1 should not fit,  number 2 should be a very tight fit - no glue needed(I used this), number 3 might need glue. If your magnet only fits in hole number 4 then you might check your print settings.

I provided 2 sets of files, one for hole number 2 and one for hole number 3.

Additional settings in PrusaSlicer to get the mesh generation correct:

1. load the file a single object having multiple parts: NO
2. Merge the 2 bodies
3. for the filter body set bottom ant top solid layers to 0, and perimiters to 2
4. Set infill type to Honeycomb and density to 25%
5.  your part should look like this:
