Big Drawer for Prusa Mini Base

As I have no need for the Prusa Mini Base's spool holder, I've created this drawer as an alternative.

This drawer is an add-on for David Warboss' excellent Prusa Mini Base. The drawer is now printable on, and optimized for, the Prusa Mini. Surprisingly, it is almost as big as my original version. The design is basically a mix of what angles I was able to retain from the Mini Base, and the limitations of the Mini's 180x180x180 print volume.

I left the large central rectangular space open for use as either a large bin, or to allow for “inserts” and such to be easily designed and dropped-in without having to remix and spend a day printing another drawer. Since the bottom sides have two 45 degree angles on them, I made them into shelves for nozzles and whatnot.

Printing on the Prusa Mini:

  • In PrusaSlicer, lay the drawer on its back, rotate 45 degrees, then center
  • Layer height 0.2mm
  • Print Settings > Layers and Perimeters > Perimeters = 3
  • Print Settings > Advanced > Perimeters > 0.45mm
  • Print Settings > Advanced > External Perimeters > 0.45mm
  • No Brim or Skirt
  • No Supports
  • Infill 10-20%

Changelog:

v1.1 - 1.7.2021 Added nozzle shelf. Widened rail slots.
