PETG is recommended over PLA for durability.
You may need to drill the center hole with a 2.5 or 3 mm drill if it fits too tightly over the pin. If so, drill from the top down for the cleanest result.
Several teeth on my Dustbot's rubber gear were damaged, so I made this replacement. The gear is 3 mm high instead of the original 2 mm in case the bottom layers do not print well, and so they won't break as easily.
Since it is a plastic gear, it makes a bit more noise than the original, and it is a little more difficult to install: You have to lower the gear and motor simultaneously into their respective slots.
Alternatively, you could use this file to print a mold for casting a silicone gear.
The original gear, damaged.
